When i worked in pharmacy just under 5 years ago it was only just over minimum wage.

Band four nhs is £29k to £31,600 in Scotland. Just for interest.

Dispenser is usually quite low pay (similar to a shop worker) but if there is a future opportunity to train as a Pharmacy Technician (if you have good science / maths) there are a lot more options for a career path and quite good income with a professionalqualification. Your use of 'dispenser' suggests community, in which case my colleagues are on about the same as you. It's barely better than shop assistant wages.

Yes. It is just above minimum wage. DD did this between undergraduate and post grad degrees. She also gained another qualification while working in a pharmacy.
