not returning after maternity leave, what do i put on my resignation letter?

hi, im just trying to write my resignation letter, not really sure what to write !

Bumping for a line manager/HR person. My view would be don't burn any bridges, be honest but not apologetic about your reason for leaving but equally don't use it as an opportunity to raise every issue you've ever had with the organisation. You never know when you might want to come back/ask for a reference. Keep it simple and professional. But that's just from me, wait for someone better qualified to offer advice.

OK, a resignation letter only needs bare facts. Any personal thankyou's can be done separately - to colleagues, manager etc. You only need to say that you do not wish to return to work after your maternity leave finishes on xx date, and you are entitled to blabla holiday - if you are(mat leave is usually treated as normally accrued time for leave purposes). End of. If you are absolutely desperate to put something else then just say that you have been happy in your work for them (particularly if it's a small company). Most resignations are short, factual and cover only what they must
