Sorry all a rant here.

Suspended from work due to absence and being investigated. This has been so difficult to deal with. So sad over this. One minute crying and the next very angry as it is due to a long hospital admission. Work was my passion my routine and without it I'm foundering.
Kids not well at all
Husband away working
No family
Too embarrassed to reach out to friends
Dogs not well and at vet (yes insured)
Skint

This is shaping up to be the worst Christmas ever.
Any one else feeling this? Let's get it done with for fucks sake

I’m sorry OP, sounds shit.

Is there any way your husband can come back from his work trip?

Very unfair for work to treat you that way. I’m sure if you have documentation of your hospital stay etc then you will be vindicated in the end. But it’s still wrong of them to put you through it.

Do you even want to go back there after this, or could you start applying somewhere else?

It's out of your control if you're unwell/in hospital/kids are sick, but an employer won't accept being repeatedly let down without consequences, it's a business after all

christmascanfuckoff · 20/12/2024 16:56

Financially I have to really go back however despite loving my job I'm not sure I want to work for the company after this.

Hoping husband will be home for Christmas
Thank you for the kind words x

'It's out of your control if you're unwell/in hospital/kids are sick, but an employer won't accept being repeatedly let down '

The OP is not 'letting down' anyone if she needs to be admitted to hospital and/or needs surgery/treatment.

Suspending someone for this is bonkers frankly and the sign of a really bad employer.
