I had a job interview on 27th November

For a full time role. And I haven't heard anything back yet in terms of rejection or next stage.

I really enjoyed the interview and would love the job. It was originally advertised as part time and I applied. They then emailed to ask me to interview if I wouldn't mind it being a full time role. I'd love it.

I sent an email the next day to thank them for their time etc.

However, I have just today seen the role re-advertised as a part time role. I think it's been re-advertised. Can't be 100% sure.

So I just wait now? Would it be weird to reach out and ask if they've made a decision? They did assure me they'd let me know either way.

I'm just impatient!

I think if the job has been reposted then I would definitely reach out to them and gently enquire if a decision has been made? I wouldn't mention I'd seen it reposted but just ask if they need any more information from you and if they have a rough timescale of when they'll be in touch. For all they know you could be sitting on other job offers and just waiting for them so there's no harm in asking x

I will think carefully about how to phrase this email.

I will think carefully about how to phrase this email.

Doesn't need to be long/complicated:

"Dear <insert name>

I hope you’re well.

I wanted to follow up regarding the <insert job title> position I interviewed for on 27th November, to kindly ask if a decision has been made yet, or if there’s an updated timeline for next steps?

I remain very interested in the role and would be delighted to contribute to your team in either a full-time or part-time capacity, depending on <insert company name>'s needs.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,
<OP>"

I will think carefully about how to phrase this email.

Why?

‘Hi X, I am reaching out about the interview I attended last week. I am interested in the role and keen to know if a decision has been reached. Look forward to hearing from you.’
