Paying back overpayment of wages

I went back to work after mat leave. Itinially full time, then reduced to part time.

My wages did not change. It has been almost ayear and I have been overpaid around £300 per month for this time.

Will I have to pay this back once my employers realise?

I am in a similar position, started the financial year last year Full Time, then went Part Time shortly after. My pay is accurate but I was given the same amount of annual leave and will now have to pay it back. I didn't consider it tbh.

ladylush - see my leave entitlement changed correctly. But this is not managed by HR, its managed by my line manager's PA.

At least thats one thing I wont have to pay back!

Its not as bad as I thought. I worked it out wrong before. It is actually £250 before tax etc, so should not be quite so bad to manage.

I think what I am going to ask is that given that I have a little one and cant afford for my wages to drop and pay back the overpayment at a high rate, and given that I don't want to have the deductions going on forever, I would like to pay back half, and make up the other half by doing some extra hours per month. I should be able to swallow say 1 hour per week without it being too noticeable in my home life.

There is plenty enough work to be getting on with to allow for this...

That sounds like a good plan Pavlov.
