About a year ago I was made to swap offices and teams (and therefore line managers) with a younger woman who is full time and was doing training. I work 5 short days a week. They tried to sell me that this was for my benefit too but ultimately my new manager leans very (too) heavily on his admin staff and they wanted to give the other woman some space.
I have raised, several times this year, that my new boss was either giving me nothing new to do or patronising me by giving me "easy" stuff (that my former manager taught me 3 years ago). Now someone else has left he is finally starting to give me more development but honestly the resentment has built.
I want to go back to my old team when we complete an office move later this year (the other employee is now trained up) but they won't guarantee me this and they keep calling "meetings", trying to push me into saying I am happy to stay where I am long term.
I can't decide if I should say that I would rather leave than stay in my current team because I think if I do I have to be prepared to do it.
I used to love this job. And part time is like gold dust.
