9 day fortnight and compressed hours

I’ve been working a 9 day fortnight for some time and been paid pro-rated down to accommodate the reduced hours.
I’ve never counted hours - just do the work. I consistently do above my hours.
i recently found out by chance that a couple of others in my team who do the same pattern are actually being paid full time and formally work the longer day. I approached my line manager and she was caught off guard, said it was due to their bespoke situations and that she’d look at it but didn’t fill with confidence.
Im hoping to resolve constructively but if I have to go formal, is a formal flex working request the best way to approach this?

You will need to complete a formal flexible working application. You don't need a reason to do this (caring for elderly relative or child etc) Your employer has to give it serious consideration and provide a business case if unable to support. When you complete it, evidence how needs of the business are still covered etc to support your application

Isn't the whole point of a 9 day fortnight that you don't reduce hours/pay? You just compress them. If your pay has been reduced you are part time, surely? So just work your reduced hours.

I do compressed hours for full pay. If you're getting paid less then you're part time. Do NOT work full time hours.

I have several friends who do a 9 day fortnight and they are all full time. They just work slightly longer days every day.
Your arrangement sounds like you are part time so you would have to get them to agree to make your post full time again, which is not the same as a flexible working request

I do compressed 10 days over nine, and I usually work more than is needed anyway, which I don't mind. The minimum amount extra I need to work over 9 days is 7 hours. I made a formal request in July, after the rules changed as it made it easier.

Compressed hours can only be full time hours in either a 4 day week or a 9 day fortnight. What you have theoretically been doing is part time I.e less than full time.m

I would challenge this. I always point out if a company offers flexi time you can often do a 9 day fortnight with minimal adjustments.
