Any advice on being sidelined?

My boss keeps copying my direct report in emails to me that relate to strategic issues which are my responsibility. My boss I think is trying to be democratic but it makes me feel sidelined - I work part time and today I've come in to a load of emails of the two of them (both male by the way) discussing my strategy. It's completely peed me off but how can I do anything about this without seeming petty?

To give more context I manage just this one person. We lead a specific part of the business that is currently undergoing a lot of change but I have a specifically more senior title, I manage him and I was recently promoted to an even more strategic role. I don't think I'm an autocratic manager, I seek his views as much as I can where appropriate but in this instance, I had called a meeting with my boss to discuss an approach that I've done all the work for (research, training, etc) so it feels like a slap in the face to have them discussing it with me on the back foot because I'm not in work that day....

How part time do you work? If you're OOO for 2+ days a week then I do understand they might need to talk about things when you're not there - the work doesn't stop for the days you're part time.

I actually think it's better they're cc'ing you in the emails - they're keeping you informed and up to date / included with the emails, rather than excluding you when you're not in.

Thanks for your reply. I work 4 days a week. I also work 830-430 rather than 930-530 and my boss is also a fan of sending emails at 430 or later which I then don't see and that they discuss
