hello after getting a first and final written warning last time for something which imo was undeserved. I was told i needed to go on a cash control course and needed re training. None of which has happened. Now three out of the four shift managers are being investigated as money has gone missing. I have really had enough this time as i followed cash control procedures and i obviously have not stolen it. The manager has recently been told he faces a disciplinary as his stocks have been consistently bad since he got here three years ago. He is now finding every excuse to pass the buck and shift attention. I have not had any training off him ever and sick of him never being available to talk to. He tells me its because i only work three evenings a week but he and is favourite only do mornings. Another shift manager is feeling the same problems. Any suggestions? Could i be fired?

Aren't you going to be moving away soon anyway? What has happened about getting away from your abusive dh?

that is all in hand. Got another appointment with council thursday this time with letters from safety net and gp. This is not the point for me i worked hard to get to my position and i would rather resign then be used as a scapegoat. Iyswim

Did you appeal it last time mehdismummy?

When you say 3 out of 4 shift managers are being investigated because money has gone missing does that include you? If money has gone missing and there's no easy way of telling who was responsible there's no reason you shouldn't be included in the investigation. Do you feel you shouldn't be included because it really is obviously not you, ie there is some circumstance which means it couldn't have been you? In which case you can obviously raise that when you are spoken to, you can explain that you followed the correct procedure (including pointing out that after recent events for obvious reasons you are even more careful to follow the procedure).

You are right to be cross that you haven't had the training you require and were promised and to be irritated with your manager but I'm a bit unsure about your question 'could I be fired?' Fired for what? You are on a final warning so if you are found to have done anything else chances are you might well be fired, but you haven't.

no i didnt appeal. What happens is at the end of the night the taking are put in a bag and counted and checked. We have then since got a note back saying the bag was missing money. I know i followed procedure because i am overly cautious now. It just seems strange this has happened to three of us

I'm not sure there's anything you can do at this point. If money has gone missing it sounds as though it's not possible to tell at the moment who was responsible.

I think you just need to go along with the investigation, be very clear that you followed procedure, and are in fact overly cautious as you say, and take it from there. Is there actually going to be a way of working out who is responsible - is that actually going to be possible for whoever is conducting this investigation?

well the money did not come back at all so it was missing from the bag. I dont think they can do anything unless accuse us of stealing it
