How do I become an adult educator?

I have a PGCE (primary) TEFL certificate & MA. I want to move out of primary education as I haven't taught for 5 years so am problay unemployable right now. Are my qualifications enough to get me into Adult education or do I need more? Am particularly interested in literacy & numeracy. TIA.

In years gone by it would probably have been fine but if it is Government funded organisation you want to work for you may now need a City and Guilds qualification 7303 Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector iirc which is a short course including appropriate planning and evaluation techniques, something similar in Skills for Life or equivalent. If you apply for a position via a college, educational organisation or charity, even just on a part time/sessional basis, they may well fund the course for you apart from the registration fee. You can be employed while undertaking the course.
