Job Application keeps getting rejected by same person - Try another way?

Hi there
I live near a big country house hotel and wedding venue. It is practically a 3 minute walk from my house. I am currently looking for work and have lots of experience in reception, client experience, event planning and PA duties. I have previously worked in another big country house wedding venue but it was not a hotel so I do not have Opera experience, but I have previously worked in a small guest house.

I have applied 4 times this year to this hotel whenever they have advertised similar roles (front of house mostly) The role seems to be re-advertised quite often. Each time, I get a rejection email from the HR woman who the applications go to. I have asked her for feedback but don't get a response.

I have now seen yet another role advertised at the hotel that matches my skills, except Opera. My question is - do I try another person rather than this HR woman? I have no chance of getting past her, but would I be better going into the venue or would I look like a mad woman?! Or possibly trying to contact the general manager on Linkedin? I just want to know if I'm in with a better chance if my application went to someone else.

Lots of free Opera training online....in fact for £24.99 Udemy will give you a certificate confirm that you are Opera trained.

I would do the training, add it as a skill to your CV and write a cover letter to HR person explaining that although you haven't used it in practice you are Opera trained and could they consider you.

Lots of places screen on keywords. So it very well could be that if they have the system coded to require Opera, they aren’t even reviewing your cv.

I’m not familiar with the, what I am guessing is, software, but if there is reasonably priced online training available I would just take the course.
