Go part time or stay full time but in less pressured role

I'm really unsure what to do and think it would help to hear what others have done in this situation.
Single parent, teenager with disabilities attends specialist school 3 days a week.
Work full time mainly from home in a senior high pressured but well paid role. Work long hours and currently feeling totally burnt out.
Do I go part time in current role, income would decrease but I'd have more time to focus on my daughter or would I end up earning less and trying to cram a full time role into less days and end up more stressed.
Or do I stay full time but change jobs to less senior and less responsibilities.
Really not sure and feel nervous as it's just my income and I want to do the best thing for my daughter.
Thank you in advance.

I would go part-time. A few reasons

  1. It’s more “reversible” - if you leave and take a lower pressure job you might not be able to come back to part-time in current job whereas if part-time doesn’t work out you can still leave.
  2. Less impact on future career- a few years part-time won’t stop you going onwards and upwards later if you want to, whereas going backwards might.
  3. New jobs are stressful, even when “easy”. I also think it can be difficult to know in advance whether a job is easy or not (so I would worry about going for lower pay but still a lot of work).
  4. Full work from home is very valuable and might not be easy to find.

@Lindtnotlint thank you that's really helpful.
I think I also have a bit of flexibility too in my role eg if I need to go to a school meeting etc in the day I can just put it in my diary and go.
Just all feels a bit overwhelming juggling everything at the moment and can't really see the wood for the trees!!
But you are right in terms of my career in a few years time and being able to get back to this level.
Thank you much appreciated
