How do you write a CV for a 16 year old's first job?

DD is 16 and wants to get herself a Saturday job at a local cafe. She went to see if they had any vacancies and was told to email her CV to the manager.

She's asked for help as she doesn't know what to write and I don't know either! What sort of things do we put???

She's an excellent student waiting for her gcse results and planning on doing A Levels at the local college. She's done all her grades in ballet and helped out at dance shows, been a girl guide... is generally lovely, polite, on time, reliable!

Divide it into ´education’ (school, yr level, going into A levels next year) and ´volunteering/work expériences’ (all the helping at ballet/girl guides). Don’t expect it to be a long document at 16! Write a short cover letter explaining WHY she wants they job and why they should employ her (she’s punctual, reliable, good people skills).

Write it out in typical format with contact details .
List expected grades.
Include any relevant work experience including voluntary, school placement. Babysitting etc.
Any achievements DoE etc
If job experience is slim include a list of
skills and give examples (through education, hobbies etc) of how they are acquired.
Hobbies
Personal statement

With wide line spacing 🤣
We adapted a template on Canva. Contact details, availability (evenings, weekends, holidays).
"Experience" - volunteering, D of E
School year and qualifications achieved so far.
Then a tiny "personal statement".

Thanks all!

I'll get her to rack her brains for all the stuff she's done in and out of school and emphasise the qualities that will make her a good employee.
