New Tax Year - new PAYE liabilty ?

Last tax year I started working pt part way through and filled in a form to not have tax deducted as annual income was likely to be below personal allowance. For the new tax year does this roll over or will I be paying PAYE on the assumption that my income will now be above the allowance ? Also do I need to request a Tax Return to verify my tax liabilty , if any.

you can't carry over personal allowance. your tax code should be sent to you and you have to let hmrc know if your situation has changed. you shouldn't needto file a tax return unless you have income from other sources
