i work as a reception manager for a holiday park.

when i applied i wasn't told that no two days off together , no weekends off and during the 6 weeks holidays only one day off a week.
I am struggling i have mental health issues and adhd.
I have tried arguing my point but they don't seem to understand.
I have asked if we can test a one weekend off in 6 !
I have asked if I can manage the rotation for my team but the previous manager messed up so they won't allow it, they are losing staff left right and centre but don't seem to work out it's because of this!
I love the job I am good at it but i can't take it much more ( the realisation came when i just seem my hours for the 6 weeks is 58hrs a week, its salary so
I won't even be getting a stonking wage )

I am looking else wear but I am worried I will burn out before that.

Your employer can tell you when to take your leave but can’t ask you to work 58 hours per week.

I think that’s pretty standard for peak season for the tourist industry tbh. When I did a couple of seasons at hotels and it was split shifts, 12 hours a day, one day off a week, definitely no weekends off as they are the busiest times for check ins etc. It’s brutal and bloody hard work. Yes it is allowed, I have chefs in the family, and others in the catering industry, and they work 70 odd hours a week at peak times such as summer, Easter, Christmas with no weekends off.
What does your actual contract say? Have you asked them for reasonable adjustments due to your disability?
I hope you manage to find a better job soon.

The hours a week info that pp has posted, it’s averaged out over 17 weeks so if it averages out then it’s, seemingly, fine.

we aren't allowed weekends off ever even in off
peak season.

I haven't but it's a family run business and all he says is this is a holiday complex, they don't have a hr just a young man 30s and who took on the business from his dad and another guy who his worked there 25 years and a another manager who wants to improve things but the other two won't budge or discuss anything . he says we pay good wages to get you to cope ( i earn 26,000 a year so let's be frank not top of the tier wage when i do a 10/ 12 hour shift)

i could cope with this if I could have the occasional two days off or like i said one in 6 weekend off,
I am 24 i am missing my best friends wedding , my sisters 30th and now my sister baby shower there is literally no give and take.

Assuming you are over 21 then 58 hours a week for 28k is below minimum wage.

yes i am 24 nearly 25.
