A question for police officers!

I have just applied to become a police officer and its something I would LOVE to do. How often do you encounter and deal with vomit?

I have emetaphobia (a fear of being sick and other being sick. Although mine is mainly others being sick) and I'm currently in a little bit of a spiral. In 2021 my mental health plumitted and this triggered me to exprience SEVERE emetaphobia. I went about a month on 24 hours sleep.

I have since been in therapy and have done really well with dealing with vomit and can now take care of my children and others if needed without having a panic attack.

My mental health at the moment isnt great. It's been a lot worse but I have reached out for some support, which hopefully will mean my mental health will begin improve in the next couple of weeks.

I as I mentioned before I am currently in a bit of a spiral and would like to know how often police officers deal with vomit and please be honest. I'm doing everything I can right now to not let my current mental health state, make choices that future healthier me will massively regret.

Thanks

I've personally never deal with vomit as a police officer... shit a few times yes... but no vomit yet and been in quite a few years.

Believe it or not it actually brings me a lot of comfort to know I would have to do deal with shit instead 🤣🤣

And by that I mean usually trying to rouse someone who was half asleep in the street who'd either been ill or pee'd their pants - so had already vomited, not sure if that makes any difference? In 5 yrs I'd say actually seeing someone be sick, about 5 or 6 times - either following an accident/bump to head and the rest drunks/druggies.
I'm not great with folk who start making the motions, starts me off a little too - but of course not equating that to your condition.
