How to approach this for last few weeks

The staff turnover where I am working is really high. Currently we are beginning a busy period with client deliverables day after day for about a month as well as some longer term projects that need to keep moving.

I currently have me and one staff member left to do the work 8 people did this time last year. I'm leaving in 4 weeks but still feel sick at the amount of work expected to do in that time, or the fact that if work is delayed, I have to take the flack from the clients. The management don't do anything to try to spread resources. I feel like I have to say something even though it won't be listened to. I feel sick and its starting to be all I think about even outside of work hours.

Can you go off sick? I'm in a similar situation and have been fired but have 3 months to get through before I go. I don't want to let my team down because if I'm out sick they are screwed.
I can't see how the company can recover from where they are now. 2 c level left, 1 director. Out of 10 a year ago.

Put your concerns about meeting the targets in writing. Explain that you cannot deliver what is required without the requisite number of staff, that the stress of trying to do so is now becoming an issue, and that the management need to start managing client expectations as you are not prepared to continually take the flak for something that is not your fault. Suggest that the management start fielding client calls.
You don't have to work out your notice, you could go sick or just tell them their failure to act has made it impossible for you to carry out your job, and if they don't take immediate steps to provide immediate support you will treat it as a breach of contract. They are being unreasonable.

With only 4 weeks to go, I'd try and take a detached attitude. In the grand scheme of things, what happens in the next 4 weeks doesn't really matter. Let the clients moan, in a short time you won't have to deal with them ever again.

Just do what you can without working extra hours or stressing about it.

Frankly your last 4 weeks should be spent writing handover notes and finalising the current projects you are working on and informing clients that you are leaving.

It is no longer your problem if management can't retain staff/ staff their teams properly.
