Probably been asked/ mentioned loads on here.. ( l know) I'm old lol.
But l see people mention their earnings etc .
Most of what I've read seem to be office related.. correct me if I'm wrong.. no malice or anything intended...
In the 70s l worked in an office for a year and l hated it.. yes l know things have changed.. but l just couldn't cope sitting at a desk all day typing.. it was boring and monotonous.
I actually wanted to be an outside
carpenter like my Dad but no one would take on a girl in them days.
I was a motorcyclist so became a motorcycle instructor and taught road safety to schools ( Green Cross code/cycling proficiency.. l loved working outside.
I then went to work at The Well Womens centre running an Endometriosis / adhesions support group on one evening a week.
I brought up my daughters as a single parent after.. working part time in a school.
But unfortunately l had to stop working young due to serverly becoming disabled after being thrown under a bus by an ex who got jailed for attempted murder.
( I'm still having operations and counselling 35 years later).

Just being curious.

I do! Plus awesome samples from reps. We get to do tours of facilities, and get a training fund each year, if you want to do upgrading.
I love it, it's low stress and you meet people from every walk of life.

I work in factoring, so I manage large repair and maintenance projects for the common parts of buildings (in England this would be a property manager)

Most of my projects are on older listed buildings, my work is around 60% office based dealing with the admin of the contracts, procurement and invoices, as well as gaining engagement and payment from property owners. And the other 40% is out onsite at my projects pre and post inspecting the work, this usually means going up scaffoldings and inspecting roof replacements on blocks of flats etc

I've been doing this for around 4 years now and I love my job

I’m a headteacher, have been for 2.5 years and taught for 18 years before that.

Although @Moier I do want to clarify, we never imbibe at work, that's a hard no

Hated the three years of office work I did. Got married at 30 and worked in a bookshop, then a theatre and after leaving that and accompanying my husband in his career move abroad for ten years I set up my own textile craft studio business and have now been doing that for about ten years. I’m 53 and winding it down now as we’re moving again with DH’s job.
