WFH, Canvasser epidemic

Just purchased “no cold caller” signage for my front door. very much hoping that this works.
Have been WFH and cold calling has not been a major problem before this week but it seems the good weather (or University Holidays) is causing an epidemic of charity workers seeking direct debit customers. Not to mention election canvassers.
I am working, need to concentrate and I have a dog who barks like crazy if anyone enters our garden (sorry neighbours). I have to stop everytime to calm the dog down. I don’t answer the door if it is obviously a cold caller.
I also have a young teenager who is sometimes home alone and instructed not to answer door to strangers. They are shy and anxious and we are trying to build their confidence, these cold callers scare them. Surely charities should understand and not send teenager cold calling. I have many elderly neighbours and young families who really don’t want to be disturbed. I do give to charity, but not on the doorstep to random callers to charities or any other organisation/business for whom I have not looked up credentials. Rant over
