One final thing..! It will be worth keeping an eye you don't overpay tax in future as you'll be taxed at Basic Rate for relief work. You need to make sure you're getting all your allowance at new part-time job (basically if you have standard tax code, as long as you will be earning over £5435 in part-time job you'll be ok, if less than this you'll need to reclaim some)

Hope this makes sense!

Emergency Tax and Basic Rate tax are different.

If you tick

statement a: You'll be "allocated" all your tax allowances as basically you're saying you've not already claimed any for the new tax year.

statement b: You'll be taxed as if you've had a proportion of your allowances. You'll be given a week1/month1 flag. Effectively they'll assume you've had 1/12th of your annual allowance already until they get P45 showing exactly what you've had.

statement c: You'll be taxed at Basic rate as the assumption is you're getting all your allowance at other job.

Basically just tick A!
