New boss started a few months ago, came from a larger organisation and basically thinks that we are all stupid and he is here to save us. The reality is that he is clueless and completely ignorant of the nuances of the sector that we are in. He has made many impressive claims about his previous roles but we can all see through him. He lacks the most basic of skills that would have been vital for these roles he is claiming to have worked as in the past.
Anyway, cut to now, and he has told us all that he is creating a new role (underneath him) and is recruiting for it. I found the ad, and the job description is WORD FOR WORD the same as his.
Not only does this prove that he is incapable of his role, but I am incredulous that his boss, and anyone else involved in this process, has allowed this to happen?!
We do not have a HR department. Based in the EU if that is relevant at all. Office job - team of 10 people as well as 50ish more people in the outlets we operate.
Can anyone help me in understanding how to approach this? Do I just let it go and get on with it, or do I say something? The man earns over double my salary, it feels so unfair.
