Reasonable adjustments removed

I have had reasonable adjustments in place at work for the past 3 years. Another member of staff now needs reasonable adjustments which are similar to mine however there is only enough work for one staff member to do so we can't both have the reasonable adjustment.
I have just had three weeks of annual leave and in that time a new manager has started, I returned to work today to find out the other member of staff has gone to the new manager and requested reasonable adjustments and they have been given to her meaning mine have been taken away.
The manager is now away on train for a week so can't talk to her about it, does anyone have any advice on how to handle the situation please?

They can’t do that. What were the adjustments?

Could be disability discrimination.

Were your reasonable adjustments fully documented? They can't just be removed. Do you have an HR department? Is someone covering for your line manager whilst they are away? Can you do any part of your role without the RA?

That’s not allowed and you need to have a conversation with HR.

@Chewbecca No old manager never documented the RA. No HR and no cover. I can do part of the role without the RA but not long term as the fatigue it will cause will have an impact on my health, have pushed myself too far before and ended up getting signed off sick.

Try Access to Work, the employer can get so much towards the cost

Reasonable adjustments are not some kind of pass the parcel thing that is only held by one person at a time.

They are there because a member of staff needs them. Or multiple members of staff.

You need yours reinstated.

Is there any way you and the other person could make slight adjustments to make this situation work better for all of you?

For example say you work part time and need to go early to rest (as you wear yourself out( but so does she, could one of you start earlier and finish earlier and the other starts later and finishes later or whatever, thus providing cover for the phones during the whole working day or whatever?

If there is anything you can both do to show your manager that you can get the adjustments you need and still keep the place running that would likely be appreciated.

But there is no legal requirement to do so.
