Office chair recommendations for a petite woman?

Lately been suffering from a very achey spine and neck pain (including a neck hump). I'm trying to find a supportive office chair (I wfh) that's specifically designed for shorter women (I'm 5 feet tall).

I find most office chairs/gaming chairs etc to be too big, designed for men and 'cave' inwards, so my back isn't straight and I don't want one with a head rest because I think it'll push my head forward (I do that naturally which I think has caused the neck hump in the first place).

Anyone found anything suitable for women? I need perhaps a higher back, lumbar support, and removable arms/no arms.. Not sure what to go with as obvs don't want to make an expensive mistake. Thanks!

I would be contacting your employers DSE team, probably facilities team. They will have contacts who have a wide range of office chairs for all types of people. The other option is to contact DWP Access to Work who will have similar contacts.

Your employer can access specialist DSE assessors who will come out and identify then fit/adjust a chair for you.

I know this is seen as a reasonable adjustment for people with a disability but in reality the DSE requirements are about a duty of care to provide the right equipment to prevent primarily musculoskeletal problems.

I would be interested to hear what you find out OP (or from anyone else for that matter). My company is so small we don't have a HR department. I've had the same issue for ages. All the chairs are too big for me, it makes 'ergonomic' a bit of a joke.
