School admin interview

Hey!

Im up for a school admin job, I am so excited.

There is a test first 😫 Can anyone shed any light on to what this maybe?

Email said no need to prepare, but I want to.

Ive not done admin since 2018 and only a year then. But as everyone does, Id really like the hours/holidays to suit around my children.

It isnt at my kids school.

Op, l didn't get the first school admin job l applied for, went for a few more then realised they want you to have a bit of experience so l volunteered in a classroom, listening to readers. Did that for a while and it gave me loads of confidence and bingo - got the next job l went for!

Oh good to know, I volunteer at my sons school at every chance, class helper, trips, selling refreshments for pta. Il be sure to add that in to my interview. And if that doesnt work look for more of a regular volunteer spot xx

I recently found out I've got a school admin job!
Start 1st July .

My task was to put tasks in order of importance and explain why.
Took 10 mins max.

Yes I had to do that, but without explanation & type up an email.

One was a safe guarding issue, one was a parent reporting an absence, another was a teacher hadnt got her stuff for morning class, another the gas wasnt working & another I cant remember.

Can you recall your options?

Safe guarding #1 and I cant recall what order I put the rest in 🤣

She did say upon interview it was a skill test, not a pass or fail, but more to see what they would need to help people with going forward.
