Term time working from home...Does such a job even exist?

Prior to having my youngest child, I had the perfect work from home job and my employer had no issue with the children being present during my working hours so it didn't 'have' to be term time.

Sadly, My dad died two days before I was due to return to work after maternity leave and I took extended unpaid leave at this point.
By the time I was ready to return to work the company had folded and there was no job to go back to.

I've only just started to think about returning to the workplace and am wondering if anyone has any idea of a job that would allow me to work from home in term time only?

Or perhaps a business I could start that would allow me the same type of flexibility I had previously?

My background is in customer service and administration with a focus on data privacy. (Previous job was providing outsourced DPO services to various companies/charities)

Any suggestions gratefully received.

@JustKeepSwimmingJust sorry I forgot to answer the other question about teens.

There are a couple of girls who I'd feel comfortable letting them watch DS for a couple of hours, but not for a whole working day. (I include his big sister in that statement)

But you've given me an idea that perhaps I could hire someone in the school holidays to be in the house watching him whilst I get peace to work.
I'd have to build a shed in the garden or something though as he wouldn't leave me alone if he knew I was nearby.
It's something to consider.

Most of the teens here do actually have jobs on the weekends and holidays.
It's a tourist area so lots of cafes and hotels for them to work at.
My eldest has a wee job making beds at a resort nearby.

Sorry not read everyone else’s replies.

Its very difficult getting a TTO remote job and even those that are advertised as remote, are only home based but still require quite a lot of travelling.

You are also up against a lot of competition.

I personally would look for PT remote jobs or if you have a DH then looking for ab evening or weekend job.
The pay TTO pay would be pro rata anyway and will work out the same as a non TT PT job would.

I did part time and it helped stretch to cover the leave. I also roped in family for a couple of weeks a year, which meant we got a week’s holiday together. It’s just really tough.

Another possibility is a hybrid role with flexibility so you can stay home on those bad days but go in when feeling ok. I have health issues and hybrid works really well. Part time was the best as it gave me a chance to rest but full time hybrid is just about doable.

I suspect a lot of people have stopped using wraparound care due to being able to wfh. I know at least one of my colleagues doesn’t use any childcare for his young children after school or in the holidays, claiming he and his wife alternate working and looking after them (but the kids are always in the background on calls), and I’m sure he’s not the only one.

The number of children using the wraparound care at my DD’s school was much lower after the lockdowns and are it’s only just starting to get back to previous levels. So it’s plausible that wraparound care in a village, with lower numbers to start with, couldn’t keep running.

OP, some local authority jobs could be term-time only and tend to be flexible in terms of wfh. Have a look at your local council web site.

Absolutely, people have realised they can "wfh" while also avoiding paying for childcare. But isn't that thefactor that attracts people to these roles? Covid didn't help as no other option so people just carried on "wfh" while doing school runs/dog walks/unloading dishwasher/pegging out the washing etc etc

Following as looking for a new challenge but need term time only and school hours due to DC with sen and no holiday care options. Background in information management and governance.
