I'm not sure if this is teh rig lace but I'm sure someone will have some toughts..

there's a guy in my dept who each year does a diabetes healthcheck clinic - he's St johns ambulance trained and has diabetes himself ... I thoinkj he does blood pressure and another non-invasive test - where do we stand as acompany ? are there any risks to allowing him to do this?

he sees it as a service and something that should be welcomed but I've got uncomfortable feelings about liability etc if anything were to hapen - unlikely to go wrong with the tests, but what if he said someone had high blood presure and they went home all worried about it and had an accident etc (imagination running wild!)
are we at risk ?

TIA

I'd be a bit dubious myself - I don't want my fellow employees (or even my employers) knowing about my medical status unless I choose to share that information with them.

If you don't want to hurt his feelings why not say you've just had your annual health check up at the doctors/via your medical insurer?

Thanks Seabright , he only does it for those who volunteer - and I've no intention of having mine done!

I was more thinking of a company liability .. can it cause problems for the company we work for ? does he need and checks, insurance etc,

but thanks for your reply!
