Dual US/UK national - useful for US company?

Am applying for a job in the UK which is based in the UK. However, I was born in the US and am a dual national.

The role wouldn't involve travel to the US... but I am wondering if there is any advantage here? Just not sure whether to mention it to the recruiter or not! If anyone has any ideas, it would be good to know! Thanks so much

I just put it at the end of my CV. Nationality: British/American

Although technically the U.S. doesn’t recognise dual citizenship.

The only downside I would see is some companies might think it might have tax reporting implications. If it was a non-US company it won't have any implications for them (although of course you still have to file taxes every year in the US) but for a company that has a US parent, it may have additional reporting implications that they might want to avoid.

@Soigneur - I wondered about the tax thing. Maybe I won't mention it as it doesn't really affect my ability for the role one way or another!

Right, for a company that doesn't have a US parent I doubt they would care, but if it is actually a subsidiary of a US parent it might cause concerns. I work for the UK subsidiary of a US parent and I know that our UK-based employees who happen to be US citizens have to have different treatment in payroll.
