Tell me about your low stress jobs

Sick of being in an under resourced, over worked and stressed working environment where I invariably take work him and work over my hours.

If your workplace has what it needs to perform or you leave work and don’t think about it again till you next start, what do you do?!

I am in a similar position as you OP. It's hard work, constant, and doesn't do anything for your mental health. But, that's because I do something that earns more than the minimum wage.

In all the jobs I've done the only one where I didn't take work home was the checkouts in Tesco!

Following with interest because my job is a joke, the job itself is easy but we're under staffed, machinery is old and broken and the company would rather spend money on a fancy new sign in front of the building than fixing the equipment or the holes in the floor or the leaking ceiling that drips asbestos water onto products (that customers eat).

I work in procurement for our local hospital.

It isn't well paid as a fairly junior role, but the good thing is, if I really hit a problem, I can pass it on to someone more senior to myself.

I've done high paid high stress jobs, but with mortgage paid off and one DC moved out, I prefer the quieter, easier & less money life!

I had a low-stress job as I purposely did not seek promotions. Got paid less but knew just as much as some and a lot more than most of the others. I could easily complete some assessments in less than half the time of others, therefore had more time for banter and looking on the net at forums and things to do/buy/hols and the home

TBH, like any job no matter how good you are there will be stress but I was pretty laid back but I could feel the envy and it was real as some used to slag me off for spending too much time in the office and not seeing clients - I was advised informally by a manager for our department. I told him to look up the naffing stats. Not his fault as he knew my stats where at the top of the pile but he did given me sensible adive, IE play clever. I did after that and spend long times with nice clients having natters and giving them helpful advice.

I always wanted a job where you could work in an office and go out and have flexible hours and able to take my own car - got the lot plus to was 15 mins away from home

@abblesandbears same! I’ve got a career job and although I don’t earn megabucks, it’s decent pay. I just can’t get the balance right and am sick of the same old shit.

Sorry you’re experiencing this, hopefully you can find something that suits you better, OP and others.
I left teaching and retrained as a forest school leader and I love it! Zero stress, school hours, great fun. Not phenomenal pay tho but it’s worth it.
