I wonder if there's any expert here who can help pls

Left work because of the toxic environment there, bulling, badly trained managers and staff etc

I make a complaint while there but they never did anything etc

I resigned and wrote an official grievance and they responded saying they would investigate and when they finally responded, it was full of lie like saying there days I didn't turn up to work and didn't call, I was late and took too long a break and that 2 mangers had had a meeting with me

I responded no one had had a meeting with me and that they need to provide the dates of when I didn't turn up to work and didn't call because I have my record to prove that I have always called and that I have never heard of the managers mentioned in their letter who they claimed had a meeting with me.

They have now responded that they are not looking any further. They are more or less telling me to f off. What can I do pls I am really offended and angry by all these. They are lying about everything.

I have called ACAS but can speak to adviser now till Monday or Tuesday but I want to see if there are any experts here who can offer advice.

I want to be compensated by the company and an apology.

I imagine it’s too late if you’re already resigned. Compensation for what?

daisychain01 · 11/02/2024 02:48

Even if you called, how many times did you not show up for work? If it was more than once, they have "marked your card" as unreliable and not worth bothering about. If you have less than 2 years' employment, and in the absence of a discriminatory act on their part, the chances of them compensating you and apologising (for what?) are somewhere between zilch and b-all, I'm afraid.

What sort of advice do you want?

What do you want to be compensated for? Do you have another job? Have you actually left?

How long were you there? What was your complaint about, specifically?

To be compensated you would probably need to at least look at tribunal, even if you don’t end up doing it. But what grounds would it be?

Neriah · 11/02/2024 05:13

Sorry, but it won't be happening. You need more evidence than your word against theirs, and you needed to complete the grievance procedure before you resigned, not start it after. You won't get compensation, you won't get an apology, and if you think you are angry about what they've said about you now, just wait until you try to make a claim.

Ridiculous24 · 11/02/2024 05:23

Yes, how long were you employed for? Once it gets to grievances etc I think you've already lost and are better off just leaving anyway. Management will stick together.

PickledPurplePickle · 11/02/2024 06:07

How long were you there?

dontwantbenefits · 07/03/2024 04:37

I was there for about 10 weeks

Since last post, I was offered a payoff of £10,000 by the company and I accepted the offer through ACAS conciliator 2 weeks ago & I haven't heard back since then.

I haven't withdrawn submission about company from the employment tribunal

What can I do to make sure offered money is paid? Do I email them giving them a deadline date & stating that if it's not paid, I would of course not be withdrawing the case at the tribunal & will be granting an interview to a local newspaper regarding the company's practices.
