I live in Cornwall where the current career pay is not brilliant. I'm currently an estate agent who is on maternity leave, due back in a month. Working full time I earnt around £34k last year. I would really like a higher earning job (around 55k min), and happy to return back to education to achieve this. My personality traits...
Love socialising and working with others, particularly children. The best job I ever had was a birthday party host (but pay was crap!). I want 9-5 hours, a good life/work balance, enjoy problem solving, enjoy challenges and sales driven tasks, very outgoing and enjoy building relationships.

Dream job was to go into teaching but the work/life balance has put me off. I have a 8 month old and 7 year old, they're my priority! X

Events manager. Don't know how much it pays though.

I would say a Paeds physio but not sure the pay will be high enough.

Events manager us not 9-5 and weekends are often required so not great with young children.... Can't think if anything which would command that salary immediately without significant training or qualifications and in Cornwall. Sorry.

virtual personal assistant - find the right (high paying) person/people to assist and you could be set. You have the super organised though. Childminding is another option perhaps?

Hi all, thanks so much for your suggestions. I have been thinking about maybe moving onto conveyancing, but again, from looking at the figures online it doesn't look like something which pays handsomely. Am happy to return back to study, and have a good amount of UCAS points.

Occupational therapist? Pay is initially not that great but you can climb the ladder and earn more in mangerial/consultancy type roles

Go on prospects.ac.uk and fill out their career quiz to get ideas for what's best suited to you

Another idea is marketing / PR /Comms or IT /digital type roles but you would need to work your way up for a bit to get that salary.

It's not realistic to expect that type of salary from the get go (unless it's a banking/ similar type career or you get very lucky) since you need to actually be worth that kind of money which nornally comes from building up some experience and/or having specialised technical skills which are niche and in demand in the job market.
