This job is too hard

Due to a move, a restructure, 2 new bosses and another supervisor in the space of 8 months, I feel like I've changed jobs several times and haven't yet settled since I got to the department in June last year.

I constantly feel stupid. My superiors are even newer than me and am shocked when I don't know particular things. In addition to this, I am receiving over 20 actions a day via email to balance with my longstanding tasks and managing a team. I don't even have time to get it all on a to do list, meaning I'm constantly forgetting things and I feel so silly when it's pointed out. I am frequently working without breaks 8-4.30, getting home and working late. This is barely conducive to life with a 3 year old and the hour walk there and back is exhausting.

We're looking to move out of our tiny house but the only way we can afford to is if I stay in this job. Please, does it get better?

@Bubidoo you poor thing sounds a total nightmare! I had exactly this (minus the potential house move and toddler) last year. It got so bad I ended up watching it like a film, as a coping mechanism. I had a change of boss, the new guy was really off- personal negative comments, no training, very insulting emails etc. Huge targets etc and a very unsupportive wider team, although hus behaviour did get picked up is made feel very stressed and overworked amd like you I'd stay late amd arrive early, no breaks.

I did leave. Will it get better? Who knows? What steps can you take in terms of training, accessing a line manager at 1-1s etc? Can you push back on some of those tasks of you have a boss who will listen?
It sounds very difficult for you right now 💐
