Bad interview - any advice?

As title says really.

I was invited to interview last week with an employer, the format was group activities then 1-1 interviews.

I was asked back for a second stage interview, given feedback that I'd done really well on the day etc

The format of the second interview was a Teams call and despite preparing really well, I think I've really sold myself short! :(

I'd researched the company well, prepared questions, answers linking to my abilities etc

The interviewers were great and really put me at ease but I had technical difficulties joining and then just went blank! They'd only really asked one question :( I do suffer with low confidence and find video interviews more difficult.

I'm preparing myself for disappointment despite really having my heart set on this role. They said they had a few more interviews to do but would be in touch by the end of the week.

Any advice wise MNetters?

Ah sorry op! These things happen. Hopefully your performance at the first round may sway them. They may know it was nerves

Fingers crossed for you! Fwiw, I've fluffed many interviews. Even got one of the jobs where I thought I'd fluffed it so you never know.

But if you don't get it, get some more practice in before the next one including troubleshooting on Teams

Thanks @AndreaCorrBlimey

I was just all over the place, didn't really answer the questions they'd asked, jumped from one topic to another!

Just can't believe it :(

Is there anything I could do retrospectively?

I obviously thanked them for their time but had the feeling they felt a bit sorry for me! Blush

As harsh as this will sound there is nothing you can do. What will be will be and you might still get the job.

Thank you @Gizlotsmum
