Charity job and volunteering - advice please

Hi
I’m currently in the middle of a big break up and I am looking to relocate across the country to live closer to family again.
The big issue with this is that I have quite an established career (in London) in product development. I am relocating to a smaller area with less industry in this area and a lot fewer job prospects.
It has all been a topic of discussion whilst home over Christmas and I have found an interesting position I am going to apply to that I think my skills are suited to , position is for a local charity.
My question is that I have recently taken on a volunteer position with a different charity, that I am enjoying. I have never worked in the charity sector before and I am curious, if I was successful in my job application can I work for one charity and still volunteer for the other? Or is it usually expected that if you work for a charity then all efforts are focused to that sole charity?
The charity I volunteer for fund raise for children and the one I am applying to work for fund raise for animals so they are not a conflict of interest in terms of focus of the charities.
Thanks , I feel this is a very specific query but maybe someone with experience as a charity employee could advise.
Also any advice on relocating across country in your early 30’s to essentially rebuild your life/ career following a horrible break up of a long term relationship is also appreciated 😅 Merry Christmas everyone and thanks!

Hi! I've worked at charities for years, amd currently work at a large charity while volunteering for a small charity. It's not uncommon among my peers.

Good luck.

I would think having experience would go in your favour, not the other way round!

No advice on the moving bit but I moved hundreds of miles away for a job many years ago and it worked out very well, I ended up settling near there long term.

Good luck!
