New job regrets

I started a new job 4 months ago and I'm having regrets. I miss my old team and knowing what I'm doing! The new job is mostly remote working and the team seem OK, but I've only met them online. Plus I'm not getting the training I need. The people I've been assigned to help seem very busy, or uninterested and I'm doing my best to pick things up by own research. I think I'm lonely and feeling inadequate. That sounds lame. I wanted a change but it's not what I was expecting. How do I make this work?

I felt like you did, I was convinced I had taken the wrong move, then about 4 months in (coincidentally) I was given a project that I really managed to get my teeth into, after working on the project a couple months it went really well, got my name out there a bit and helped me completely uturn on how I felt about the job and myself in the role. Really happy and comfortable here now and have slowly built relationships with the team, takes longer WFH I think.

So I suppose I'm just saying keep an open mind as it could still turn, but no harm looking for other jobs in the meantime.

Thank you, that's really good advice. After only 4 months in, I can't expect to know all the processes (and there are many) and to have built up solid relationships with colleagues. I'll try and throw myself into a project and see.

Is your line manager aware of this issue? I think you should speak to them and ask for advice, their job is to support you and make sure you get all the relevant training/knowledge you need.
