Struggling financially in debt. Can you legally work 3 jobs? How does it work tax wise?

So I recently purchased a new house (single, no depandants) and struggling financially with the living costs also. I really want to earn more money and be in a financially secure position as I am currently in alot of debt.

I have one full time job in law but 2-3 days I work flexibly from home. I have another working from home job as a typist which I use to work in the evenings (completely unrelated to my primary employment) but I feel I can possibly take on one more job on the weekends and do more work in the evenings or on the days I work from home (2-3).

Or even cash in hand jobs? I am happy to hustle and work extremely hard for the next 1-2 years with little me-time so I can be debt free and also buy some nice new things for my new house.

Can you work legally in 3 jobs? How does it work tax wise?

If you work 2 jobs or more, can you please tell me what kind of jobs they are so I can explore my options?

You can work as many jobs as you like. You still get the same ‘tax free allowance’ though.

People often say ‘it’s not worth working an extra job because you have to pay so much tax’- but you don’t pay MORE tax on a second job, just if your tax free allowance is applied to your main job, you’re taxed at basic rate (or higher rate) on your other employments as there’s no offset for the tax free allowance.

If you take a subsequent job you can either choose to split your tax free allowance between the jobs, or just pay the full tax on your ‘extra jobs’ (this is what I do). You’re still getting extra money from the extra work.

Check your contract with you main employer. Some contracts specify that you can't take on other paid work.

Also, how tired would you get if working those sorts of hours plus shopping, housework and life admin? I'm presuming you don't envisage seeing friends or family or having leisure activities at all. If you get so tired that you make mistakes in any of your jobs that could cause you problems in terms of work performance.
