Pay disparity

I've namechanged for this as it is could be potentially outing.

I work for a company where the senior management team are currently under investigation for a culture of unfairness/bullying etc. We have had 2 of this team resign in the past 3 weeks.
It has been an awful place to work for the past 12 months but despite the crappy management I actually like the company and the work I do. I am just hoping that it can be turned around and improved.

More and more has been coming to light officially/ unofficially.
I'm in a middle management role and have a huge amount of pressure put onto me on a daily basis. I deal with it well and have a good reputation within the company for the work I produce.
It turns out that 3 people employed after me are on the same salary. Weirdly they've been given the same job title but their duties and responsibilities are in no way similar to mine.
They have no line manager responsibilities, no on-on call duty etc. They come in. Do the same job as those paid about 10k less than them and go home. 2 of these are men 1 a woman.
Another who joined after me same job title zero responsibility is on a higher salary (a man)

When actually looking at job roles I'm actually more in line with a man in the company who has been there about a year longer than me.
We essentially do the same job under different titles and his salary is about 15k a year more than mine, with extra benefits.

We are all very similar in terms of experience within the field.

I didn't negotiate for my salary when I started because it is public service so I thought it would be streamlined and transparent.
This doesn't appear to be the case and I'm wondering what to do going forward.
I'm essentially doing twice the work as everyone else for the same/less pay and it is disheartening.

If you are public sector grade is likely to be a factor in determining your pay. Are you the same grade as the man earning £15 k more?

You would need to look at your job description and see if it matches your responsibilities. And if that matches your grade. There may be an argument for your job to be regraded or at the least for you to have less responsibility. Are you in a union?

Can you request a job evaluation?

So the chap earning 15k a year more is the same grade as me.
With similar experience (in fact if it went to experience I'm marginally more experienced than he is)

The ones earning the same as me are a grade below.

I've this morning requested a meeting which is scheduled for the end of the month.

@NC543210 As you are the same grade as a man and a higher grade to the others you need to ask them to look at it from an equal pay perspective.

As you are the same grade and he joined after you and you have similar experience they would have to justify why he was recruited on £15k more.
