Salt Therapy Centre

Hi

I am in the process of putting together a business plan to open a wellbeing centre. This would have salt therapy rooms and a room for massage treatments.

Salt therapy is really good for respiratory and skin conditions and suitable for children who suffer with asthma, eczema or just general sniffles or teething irritation (from the dribble.)

Could I ask people's general opinion about whether this is a service you would use? Price wise I am thinking adults £25 for a 45 minute session & children £15 for a 30 minute session (with package deals for multiple sessions.)

If anyone has any advise or opinions then that would be hugely helpful :)

Thanks

have you worked out your overheads / running costs? You need to do that and work back to a figure you can charge that makes a profit.

Wow that seems very pricy.

What's the business model?

Rent, upkeep, bills, cleaning, compliance with regulations - do you have water systems requiring legionella upkeep? Installation? Any licences? How long to recoup your investment if you were 50% booked at all times?

Just salt rooms? Any other services?

I'm gathering all the costs together at the moment to work out a forecast and business plan. The pricing seems to vary from £15 a session up to £35 but I can figure that out once I have all the costs.

My post was more to see how popular the centre would potentially be.
If it was local to you personally, would you go along (assuming the price was right and not too expensive?)

Also, most centres have larger rooms with mulitple people in a session... would this put you off?
I'm wondering if a smaller room where you had the session to yourself would be preferable for people?

Thank you for your replies by the way... I really appreciate it :)

If you are anywhere near Cambridge my aunt would go to you as she has long term lung damage. She has used these salt rooms before and found them really beneficial.
re the small v big rooms - I would say go small. People with respiratory issues don’t want to share a room with strangers for 45 mins especially after covid. It’s too dangerous for them.
Good luck with your new venture.

I've been interested in trying out salt therapy. So yes, I'd be interested.
