Interview for senior role in charity- need presentation. HELP

Hello all, I'm having a mental block on this presentation!
I've got an interview next week for a senior role and I need to create a presentation, some of which needs to cover how I intend to fund any changes.

I've got all the info I need but I just don't know how to display it- I am not very creative! My PowerPoints always look really boring and, for once, I'd like it to look nice. Has anyone any ideas on how I could present my ideas? Any templates online etc?

Have you used Canva before? There are lots of templates and tools there. There is a free version which should do the job but you might be able to get a free trial on the paid for version. It's pretty easy and intuitive to use.

Prezi is great and very easy too!

Slideshare is a site where people share their ppts and presentations. Great for getting content and design ideas. Search under charity + role and see if you can find similar presentations.

Canva for sure.

Prezzi is a bit 2010 and I have seen it fail so many times and then the presenter stumble and fail.

I totally wouldn’t worry. A PowerPoint can be as simple as can be. Nobody will care, it’s the content you need. Now how are you going to fund the changes?

as someone who interviews for senior roles for charities in dublin, first thing is copy the charity brand colours. Use some of their stock images from their website, key phrases and above all KEEP IT SHORT. They will be looking for your confidence, data that shows you’ve done your homework. Simple colours in their key brand colour, not to busy, and if you have a recent version of microsoft it should do all the formatting for you. Good luck!

This is brilliant advice!

Using PowerPoint and word online (has to be online versions) it can do it for you.

If you have the info you want in the presentation in a word document. Go File - export - export to PowerPoint.

It then uses AI and adds it together with stock images. You can edit it so it’s not fixed but that trick has saved me time in the past.

Do you even need slides? How long is the presentation? Maybe even just create one slide as a starting point?
