Negotiations after an offer

I've applied for a job, advertised as salary range £18,000 - £28,000 for three or 4 days a week.

I have now been offered but at 4 days with £28,000 pro-rata.
I was honest in the interview and told them I need at least £25,000.

How to I go back to the offer and say pro-rata was never mentioned and actually while they offered the £28, by pro-rataing it, it means I'd be losing money to my current role.

Ideally I'd like to ask for £28,000 for the four days.. but could accept £25,000 for the four days.

You can tell them you’d like £25,000 for working four days, but that actually means you are asking them to pay you £31,250 as a full-time equivalent salary. That’s quite a bit more than the advertised role.

It sounds like there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding about whether the salary quoted in the advert, was the full-time salary for the actual salary for hours works.

In this situation, you probably need to work almost full time to get the salary you need – assuming they are prepared to employ someone full-time.

Just tell them straight up you can't afford that, the advert didn't make clear the quoted salary range was for full time.
Just say ii's too low a salary for you to accept for 4 days and you would need a minimum of X.

There's a cost of living crisis on, don't take a job that doesn't pay you enough to live on
