For me there is a lot of repetition such as proficiency and experience. Can you not bullet point them under a heading of proficiencies, experience and knowledge. If you can find a way to briefly describe and evidence your strengths (rather than just say what they are as anyone can state this) it would be helpful to the recruiting manager. You want to make it as easy as possible for them to read and for you to score points. Can you can incorporate the values as well and if you can look up their strategic priorities and factor this in it might be helpful too. Good luck.

It's difficult to comment without seeing the job description - you should be covering all of the essential (and ideally all/most of the desirable) skills/experience as listed in the job advert. As PP has said, using examples to evidence your skills/experience is usually best - I tend to do a STAR format answer for each thing on the list.

I agree with previous poster that it is difficult to comment without the personal spec and job description. I think using headings would be useful, making sure you have covered how you meet the essential and desirable criteria for the role ( you may have already done this) . I don’t think it needs to be as long as it is, I’d aim for half the amount you have written.

The first sentence needs a complete rewrite as it is repetitive and doesn't make an impact.
The whole statement is too long in my opinion.
Can you condense it and reduce the waffle, freshen up the sentences so that they're more concise and the wording is "sharper".

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll take heed of your advice and re write it then. I'll post the re-write later today and also include the job description. Many thanks for everyone's contribution :-)
