how many hours per week do you need to be using childcare to qualify? do nannies ever accept them? we will be using a nanny one day per week and the additional burden on her tax bill will be picked up by us and it is HUGE. we would love to use the vouchers to help out if at all possible.

Something else to mention... don't let nannyshare's confuse you. This is NOT a nannyshare - it is two separate employments.
A nannyshare is when two families share a nanny, at the same time... both families children being care for by the nanny in one home.

Thanks Kaymac, I knew there was a reason wht we didn't use CTC apart from I loathe the system! The pointless circle of them wanting to pay, overpay and then reclaim, plus their inability to add, has soured me somewhat. I just use salary sacrifice as I know where I stand!

At £85 per week, £4420 annual, Gross would be £5344 annual. Employers NI is around £15.23 per year!

Should add, that those figures are assuming that tax code is not split, but that your job is secondary and thus on BR code.

Childcare vouchers come directly from your salary and so there is added incentive to use them, but then there is a knock on effect on your pension if you have a company scheme, so thats worth bearing in mind.

I just found out that Busy Bees company let you set up an e account, which I'm hoping will be better than lots of form filling, and more self-managing when you need to pay vouchers to different providers
