Should I take full time job

I’ve worked part time since my eldest (18) was born. I work 3 days per week in a boring and easy job (but it’s pay fairly decent ) 22k.
I absolutely love having a 4 day weekend and spend time with my eldest and friends going for lunches etc. or now it’s summer holidays I have the days with my youngest child (13).
I recently applied for a new role in the same company which will be much more interesting and stimulating, I didn’t really expect to get it but I did !
It will be a decent payrise and obv full time so around an extra 18k.
However Im completely torn about giving up my part time hours - there is no pressure from my husband he is happy for me to decide. We are comfortable financially (not loaded and need to start paying more into pensions ) but are looking to buy a new house soon which will be a significant mortgage commitment and the extra salary will help.
my daughter will go to uni soon so likely not as round as much to have our Friday lunch dates and my friend who is also part time may increase working hours too.
What would you do ? I’m not sure which I value more part time hours with a boring job or more money and interesting job but only 2 day weekend !

I'd take it. Is a compressed 4 day week possible down the line if you decide you want to claw a day back?

Do it. Your children don't need you about as much as when they were younger, and it's time for you to do something for yourself. You'll find you naturally have more time anyway as not running round after the DC all the time, so you'll still be able to fit in the meetups with friends etc.

you don't say how old you are, but based on the age of your children, if you don't have much in pensions, it's a really good opportunity to start building them up.

@JeandeServiette I don’t think so, I’m thinking of asking however this is not actually in the U.K. and part time working it not really a thing here for office jobs (North America ) …. I only managed it as I was already part time in the U.K. and transferred internationally. It’s kinda of unusual and I think once I go full time there is no going back.

Personally I would keep the part time hours to keep a better work/life balance. I regret giving mine up 10 years ago and have struggled with the extra days but now rely on the money. I have a busy role with responsibility and am exhausted by Friday night. My house has definitely suffered as I am too tired to do more than rudimentary cleaning, and I'm hardly ever in it anyway.
If I could afford to go back to PT I'd do it in a flash.

@redskytwonight Im 40 had my first quite young. Yes we do need to think about pensions we have through work but I’ve always contributed the min and company match’s - think I have around 50k husband will have a lot more.
Its not like I feel I can’t do it for my kids they are ages where they are independent etc but I really enjoy (and have been very lucky) to have my days doing as I please going for nice lunch etc especially in the summer months we get great westher here and can go for beach days or by the pool

I think the mortgage issue would tip me into taking it.
