Hi all,

I have a job interview coming up for a delivery/support person in pharmacy aseptic services.

I have no experience in this field and the role involves taking prescriptions to and from wards, checking stock against delivery notes on the computer and putting stock away with regard to expiry dates and stock rotation.

If anyone has any advice on what might come up in interview that would be great as its very different to jobs I have had previously. I have also not worked for the NHS.

I am very nervous and find interviews very difficult :(

Thanks again X

Why do you want this job? (really perfect this to nail it, I’m terrible for explaining why I want job but it came up in the online medical appointment platform I’d recently applied for. I didn’t think I’d put myself over well enough plus it also came up when applying to be a Vets receptionist) although to be fair I think being a Vets receptionist is far harder than being a GP’s receptionist as there are two to look after, the owner and the animal from what I saw of a show round of the practise.

Data security handling/confidential handling - if someone on the street tried to get info out of you about a patient, how would you handle it.

Who would you serve first? pharmacist wanting more info, phone ringing and someone directly waiting at the counter.

Good luck 🤞 interviews can go all sorts of ways as long as you have the basic’s behind you 🙂

Have a look and see if you can find the trust values or priorities on their website. Keep those in mind.

Importance of following SOPs, ability to work accurately under pressure, organisation skills & teamwork would be worth thinking about.

Patient confidentiality as PP said.
