Help!: Kit days during Maternity leave

Hi. My manager wants me to do come to work on tuesday and maybe for another day. They said I can use kit days and get paid for it. I agreed to coming in but only because I felt like I had to cause of another issue. I thought that I had those last couple of weeks just with my baby before I go back and now I just feel stressed about it ☹.
I will be doing the day that I agreed to. But I don't want to do any more days. I'd rather do the training when I come back to work or just do it all on the day I agreed to.

I know me and my employer have to agree to kit days but is it a law that they can't make you work them? or maternity discrimination?. Just want to make sure what to say to them just incase they try to push it if I say no.

Thanks

they are completely optional and you can choose to take up to 10 of them.

Why would it be maternity discrimination? That makes no sense, nobody else has kit days so how could you be being discriminated here. If you don’t want to come in, don’t agree to it. End of the matter.

You bott have to agree, they can't force you.
Are they assuming you have childcare available before your agreed return date?

*both

They have to be mutually agreed and you are protected by legislation. So, no - you are under no obligation to attend but I struggle to see how it’s discrimination.

They are optional but I think useful for making the transition back. I have seen colleagues who didn’t do any struggle.

I wrote that as an after thought when I typed it out, I don't know what is considered that 🙄
