I'm trying not to say too much, because this is terribly outing, but..

Basically, in the recent past a colleague displayed threatening and intimidating behaviour towards me at work.

All caught on camera and, retrospectively seen and acknowledged as serious by management at various levels.

I have no idea what the outcome will be, but I suspect merely a disciplinary warning.

While I'm not intimidated by the physical aspect, I am extremely anxious about an implied threat that was made about how difficult this person could make life at work (and possibly outside) for me.

Frankly, I'm scared, and feel that if this was to go on to happen it would purely be my word against theirs.

What do I do?

Has this happened to you?

Any advice/ thoughts please.

Sorry but nothing else has happened yet. You can't plan for what hasn't happened. If something happens then you immediately report it.

Is the threat recorded in the complaint/investigation? And what steps have your employer taken since it happened?
Eg are you separated from this person, never alone with them.

I'm not really sure what else you can do, other than keep a record and report any further incidents. if it's causing you stress would you want to find a new job and get away from this person completely?

The threat is recorded.

One of us is currently on holiday, so working together not yet become an issue, but I feel for me it will be.

I don't wish to move my job, and honestly don't think I should have to.

In that case you can't do anything else about something that hasn't happened, and may not happen.
If they do anything else to threaten/ intimidate you then report immediately.

No you shouldn't. But you also don't get to dictate the outcome. The employer is dealing with this. Sorry but you don't get to demand that they plan for something that hasn't happened.

I'm honestly not trying to dictate, and I'm very sorry if it came across that way.
