Anxious to jump ship

I am in a comfort zone at work. Great management, get along with colleagues and actually don't mind my job. The thing is, I need more money. I work for a big company where we do get yearly pay rises and yearly bonus, but the pay is not fantastic. I saw an advertisement for a similar job at a different company - but for more money. I have already spoken to my managers and they're unable to offer more money - everyone in department are on the same..

I applied for the job, and they've invited me to interview. The pay difference would be around £3k more per year. I'm just worried about taking the leap.

It seems obvious to just go for it, I know that. I just get anxious about if things don't turn out as I hope they will. I may not even get it, I just wonder if anyone else has been in my position and have had positive outcomes. Sorry sounds like a ramble. I suffer with anxiety so this would be a big step for me. Thanks for reading

I think it's natural for anyone to have those worries about changing jobs. Change is uncomfortable.

Is the £3k before or after tax? And is it worth what you'd be exchanging by leaving your current role?

Going for interview isn't a commitment to leave. Take it one step at a time (rather than thinking about all the future worries) and it will feel more manageable.

And don't forget you've already made the "new workplace" adjustment successfully in the past, so no reason you can't again.
