Interview questions

I’ve got an interview on Tuesday in my organisation for a job one grade higher. I know they’ll ask me questions:
Give an example , when you exceeded somebody’s expectations when completing the task? Or:
Give an example when you trusted someone to do task for you?
I really struggle with questions like that. I did things like that, just don’t know , how to say it. It’s natural for me that sometimes we do other team member’s jobs, when they can’t do that right now for whatever reason. That’s called team work. But talking about specific task is so hard. I’m in finance team now, used to work in the contact centre. Any advice?

Plan several situations in advance, they can then likely be used for most questions.

Plan it out as STAR
situation - well the situation was that we had an urgent order and my colleagues were off sick
task - there were all our usual orders plus a new one we had only 24 hrs to do and that alone needed 2 people
Action - I looked through all the orders and prioritised them. I got in touch with everyone who might be able to help and asked everyone how many hours they could dedicate. I then worked out what order we would do the work in, allocated the tasks and we got stuck in.
result - we delivered the urgent and the others were not delayed by more than 24hrs.

Add something to do with what you learned / what you would do differently next time and you’re sorted.

Thank you @Chewbecca , very helpful. This is what I need : plan, what to follow.

Came to say this - STAR is a great way to prep.

there are loads of good guides on the internet.

Good luck!
