Have you used your legal cover from contents insurance for employment legal advice?

Just that, really.

I may need to source advice from an employment lawyer, and have realised I have legal cover as part of my contents insurance.

I doubt they would have specialist employment law experience? Or would they?

Any experiences would be very welcome.

They should do, yes. They will have a panel of various forms of solicitors and may refer you to one, or they may have a generic advice line to use at the pre claim stage.

You have the right to choose your own legal representative at the point of issuing proceedings (but not for advice beforehand) so don’t be afraid to push to use a lawyer of your choice!

Yes. They have been ace. Used them for successful tribunal claims. Great knowledge and process.

Yes! For a tribunal case when a previous employer tried to underpay my redundancy. A stressful time but like most companies they.didnt want to go to court and paid up. Worth every penny of the premium.
