When to ask about 4 days a week?

I’m currently interviewing for new roles but I’m wondering at what point on the process I should ask about working 4 days a week as I currently do.
I work in digital marketing and I find myself much more productive working 4 days than I ever did 5.
I recently interviewed for a new job which went very well, had great feedback it when I was asked to return for a 2nd round I asked the recruiter if he could determine if 4 days a week would be an option. He was instantly irritated and said I should have been upfront but I wanted to give the business a chance to meet me. They did take it away to consider but unfortunately they couldn’t progress with it, despite telling me that if I could have done FT the job would have been mine.

When is the best time to raise it? Wait until offer stage? I don’t want anyone to feel as though I’ve wasted their time but equally if I bring it up before they’ve met me they’ll immediately rule me out as sadly many organisations still believe every role must be FT.

I applied for a FT job and I discussed it during the first interview. I don't think it's fair to wait until offer stage. I told them straight up what my current working pattern was and said I was open to discussion about other working patterns but they said it wasn't a problem and were happy to work with my current schedule, including time to do school runs etc.
