Hi I have applied through Trac for a job that I desperately want

Applications close tonight at 11.59pm, realistically how long should I expect to wait to hear anything?

Has anyone applied through Trac recently that can tell me there experience

thankyou ☺️

Hi,

I recently applied to a job that closed on 16/09, I got an invite to interview on 20/09 - so four days after the applications had closed. This was for an interview on 04/10 - so that gave me two weeks to prepare for interview.
(I did not get the job 😭)

I've applied to another that closes on 24/10 - so I don't expect to hear anything until after that date.

Even though its partly automated, I'm sure there are humans at the other end actioning it all, so it probably varies a little from one vacancy to the next.

Good luck with it 😊

It is really nothing to do with Trac, but depends on panel availability and interview timescales. The shortlisting link goes to the panel pretty immediately after closing. If you are invited to an interview they should usually give you at least 1 week notice.

Good luck!

It's all to do with efficiency of the recruiting team. Trac is just a computer platform

MyGhastIsFlabbered · 12/10/2022 14:14

It really does depend on the vacancy. I've recently been applying - one I heard back about the day after the vacancy closed, one wasn't until well over a week later - all NHS non-clinical.

As others have stated, it really does depend on the post and the team. Can be a week or more until they can sit down and short list, if they are on it and have time it can be the next day. I think Trac does send the recruiting manager nudge notifications now after specific periods to remind them to action things. Many places are up against it in the NHS now from back office roles to frontline so don't be worrying if it's a week or so.

Honestly? It depends on the team doing the actual recruiting. I applied for one that I waited nearly a month to hear anything back from (interview invitation) and then another where they replied the day after closing date.

I've since found out the one where they replied really fast had "spotted" me while I was on placement as a student and marked me out as someone they thought would be a good fit for their team and jumped when they saw I'd applied (huge ego boost when I heard that - plus it's a role and client group I LOVE)

ive applied for a job through trac and attended interview. How do they tell you whether you are successful/unsuccesful?

PasstheMaple · 12/06/2024 07:50

@Zoz1 they will email you if it’s a no. They will probably call you if it’s a yes.

Zoz1 · 12/06/2024 07:51

Ok thanks. It’s probably a no then as they said they would be letting people know yesterday. Never mind! Thanks for getting back to me.
